Terms of Service

The rules for using Tino University Mind

Last updated: 21 September 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tino University Mind ("Tino University Mind", "we", "us"), an AI study companion app for university students. Tino University Mind is owned and operated by Wacoo Paul, trading as Tino University Mind, and your agreement is with that seller. By creating an account or using any feature, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Tino University Mind.

1. Who can use Tino University Mind

  • You must be an adult in your country and a genuine university student.
  • You must provide accurate account and identity information.
  • One account per person. Do not share your password or sell your account.
  • If you are under 18, do not use Tino University Mind without a parent or guardian, and do not use Earn.

2. Your account

You are responsible for everything done with your account and for keeping your sign-in details safe. Tell us at once if your account is used without permission. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being misused.

3. Your study content & materials

  • You keep ownership of the lecture materials, notes and other content you upload.
  • You give Tino University Mind permission to process that content — read, store, and send it to our AI provider — only to generate your study plan, explanations and practice questions.
  • You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload your materials, and that you respect your lecturer's and institution's rules on sharing course content.
  • Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware.

4. AI features & what Tino University Mind is

Tino University Mind is an AI-powered study companion for university students. It reads the study material you upload and helps you understand it, practise it, revise it, review your own documents and plan your study. It is not a university, college, awarding body, accredited institution or examination service, it does not grant degrees or credits, and it does not provide medical, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice.

Explanations, summaries, study guides, practice questions, research answers and tutor chats are generated by AI and may be incomplete or incorrect. They are study aids, not a substitute for your own judgement, your lecturer's guidance, or professional advice. Always verify important information against your course material, and never rely on an output in a regulated professional setting without qualified human oversight.

  • You are responsible for the prompts and material you submit, for having the right to submit them, for how you use the outputs, and for checking their accuracy.
  • You keep the rights you already hold in what you submit. You may use outputs generated for you for your own study and academic work, subject to your institution's academic-integrity rules — which are your responsibility to follow.
  • Do not use Tino University Mind to generate unlawful content, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, harassment, malware, deepfakes or impersonations of real people, or to jailbreak or circumvent safety limits.
  • We may filter, refuse, restrict or remove content and outputs, and suspend accounts, to keep the service safe and lawful.
  • If you believe content on Tino University Mind infringes your rights, email tinouniversitymind@gmail.com with the details and we will review, remove where justified, and act against repeat infringers.

5. Acceptable conduct

When using Tino University Mind you agree not to:

  • Harass, bully, threaten or impersonate another student.
  • Share another person's private information without consent.
  • Spam, scam, or run commercial activity outside of the Earn marketplace rules.
  • Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer Tino University Mind, probe or scrape it, or access data you are not allowed to see.
  • Upload unlawful, hateful, sexual, or infringing content.
  • Resell, redistribute or share access to your account or its outputs as a service to others.

We may review and remove content, and limit or close access, when these rules are broken or to protect the service.

6. Connect & Meet

Connect and Meet let you message, call and study with other students. Be respectful. Others can see your @username and the information you choose to share. Calls use peer-to-peer signalling routed through Tino University Mind; do not record a call without everyone's consent where the law requires it.

7. Earn marketplace (student-to-student)

Earn is separate from your Tino University Mind subscription or Service Credits. It is a noticeboard where students offer and find tutoring, textbooks, notes and services.

  • Payment for an Earn deal is arranged and settled directly between the two students. Tino University Mind does not take, hold, process or transmit money for Earn deals, and does not guarantee delivery or quality.
  • We only record the agreed order, its status and any review.
  • Be careful meeting strangers. Meet in safe public places and use trusted payment methods.
  • Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. Do not post fake or retaliatory reviews.
  • Tino University Mind is not a party to an Earn transaction and has no liability for how a deal goes.

8. Licences to Tino University Mind

To run the service, you grant Tino University Mind a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display and process your content as needed for your account features, and to show your public profile information to other students where relevant. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained for legal or security reasons.

9. Tino University Mind's materials

The Tino University Mind name, logo, app design, study plans and software are owned by Tino University Mind or its licensors. Do not copy, redistribute, or rebuild Tino University Mind, or scrape its data, without written permission.

10. Availability & changes

We try to keep Tino University Mind running smoothly but do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We may add, change or remove features, and may suspend or stop the service, with notice where reasonable. Offline-queued messages and sessions may sync when your connection returns but are not guaranteed.

11. Fees, subscriptions & payments

Every student gets a free daily study allowance. Paid plans add more monthly study work. Current plans and prices are shown on our Pricing page, always before you pay.

  • International subscriptions (card / PayPal). Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd (Paddle.com). Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our international orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing, renewal and cancellation mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions are monthly and renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Uganda mobile money. Students in Uganda can instead buy Service Credits with MTN or Airtel mobile money, paid directly to us and confirmed by us from the payment reference you submit. Paddle is not involved in these payments.
  • Service Credits. Service Credits are an internal unit measuring AI study work. They are not money, not a currency, not a deposit, not interest-bearing and not withdrawable or transferable. Credits are held when a request starts, charged only when it succeeds, and returned if it fails or you cancel it.
  • Refunds. See our Refund Policy — a 30-day money-back guarantee on international subscription payments.
  • Earn. Earn payments are between students and are not part of any subscription; Earn may apply small fixed listing fees, shown before you post.

12. Disclaimer & liability

Tino University Mind is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, Tino University Mind and Wacoo Paul, trading as Tino University Mind are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost study time, lost data, or the outcome of any Earn transaction. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months, or a nominal amount if you paid nothing.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold Tino University Mind harmless from claims arising from your content, your conduct, or your use of Earn, to the extent allowed by law.

14. Closing accounts & termination

You can stop using Tino University Mind and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or close access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or if the service is being discontinued. Sections that by their nature should survive (liability, indemnity, licences, ownership) remain in effect after termination.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are interpreted in good faith. Any dispute will first be attempted through informal contact. If not resolved, disputes will be handled in the courts of the jurisdiction where Wacoo Paul, trading as Tino University Mind operates, unless local consumer law gives you a right to your local courts that cannot be removed.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
