Cookies and browser storage at Tino

Last updated: 8 September 2026

This page lists everything Tino University Mind ("Tino", "we") stores in your browser — cookies and similar technologies such as local storage — what each item is for, how long it lasts and how to change your mind. It is deliberately short because Tino stores very little.

to change your choice at any time. Your current choice is remembered for 180 days, or until you change it or this policy changes materially.

The short version

  • We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.
  • We do not use third-party analytics services (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar) and we do not track you across other websites.
  • Essential storage keeps you signed in and keeps the app working. It cannot be switched off.
  • Two optional categories — Preferences and Analytics — are off until you turn them on.

Categories

  • Strictly necessary: required for security, sign-in, remembering this consent choice, offline reliability and showing you your own content. Used on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the service you asked for.
  • Preferences: small interface settings such as the message sound and whether you dismissed the install prompt. Only saved with your consent; without it the setting lasts for the current tab only.
  • Analytics: first-party feature-usage events tied to your student account (for example “study guide opened”). Only sent with your consent. A small set of reliability diagnostics — such as “file processing failed” or “voice failed” — is always recorded because we need it to keep the service working safely; these contain no behavioural profile.
  • Marketing: not used. Shown in the preferences panel for transparency only.

Third-party services

When you sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies on Google's domains under Google's privacy policy; Tino does not read them. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to serve the font files but sets no cookies. Video calls use a relay service to connect devices; it does not set cookies in Tino. Emails from Tino are sent by our email provider; you control them under Email preferences and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Changing or withdrawing consent

  • Use the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of any public page or in your profile.
  • Switching a category off immediately stops that use and deletes anything it had stored on your device.
  • You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings; you will then be asked again and may need to sign in again.
